Will the Rain Ever End?!

We're at it again! (Or about to be!)

A long-time dream come true for us both, we will set out in search of as many perfect vintages as we can find in the few days we have to explore the many vineyard laced valleys between San Francisco and Boonville, CA. And after so many days of wind, rain and cold here at home - we can't wait to begin. (Truth be told, even if it was as sunny, warm and lovely as it has been on so many days this fall, we'd still be straining at our leashes. Who wouldn't?!)

Armed with our trusty Lonely Planet guide, a baleful of recommends from Sunset Mag. and recent enthusiastic reports from our friends Harry and Joanna...we are stoked!

Our ever faithful hounds, Maddee and Sopee are not quite as keen about all of this...however, we're sure they'll forget about us pretty quickly once their new bestest human, Rhia, moves in to keep them company. And feed them. And throw toys for them to chase. And take them for walks. hmmm. Sounds like everyone's getting a vacation from the everyday!

A taste of what's to come...from the gallery of our kayak trip through the Broken Group Islands of Barklay Sound this summer. One of our favorite BC Wines - Grey Monk's Latitude Fifty.

  1. Hey, I like your photo. The prince and princess of fine wines, I presume! We'll be following your explorations. I hope you'll post photos of more than just the wine bottles though.

  2. LOL

Yes, hopefully there'll be more interesting things to take pictures of! Like cable cars in San Francisco, the Golden Gate, the Marin Headlands, stinky cheese at the Cowgirl Creamery, Bodega Bay...sound familiar???
